LONDON, case colour hardened platinum lined and vented breeches, border and scroll engraved signed locks with traces of original finish, half stocked, cast-off for shooting with the left eye, chequered fore-end and wrist, border and scroll engraved mounts, finely decorated with a hound to the trigger guard and partridge to the butt plate tang, serial no. 1186. Accompanied by a letter from the makers confirming that it was made for a Mr M. Cooper Esq. on April 30th 1852. Crisp action with clean bright bores.
