A BRITISH PATTERN 1842 SOCKET BAYONET TO THE COLDSTREAM GUARDS
43cm blade stamped with a Crown over ‘B 16’. the socket incised ‘2 B C Gds’ [2nd Batt. Coldstream Guards], some original black varnish, in its brass mounted leather scabbard. Socket & blade covered in original protective varnish, slight wear to edge of scabbard, otherwise very good condition.
