83cm curved fullered blade by Osborn, etched with a maker's panel, scrolling foliage, scroll banner motto DUCIT AMOR PATRIA, regimental initials LBLHV, laurel wreaths, crowned Gr cypher and crowned Royal arms, dated 1798 and with owner's initials WW for William Waddell, also bearing classical imagery, regulation steel stirrup hilt, silver wire bound leather grip, in its steel scabbard.
