20inch sighted round barrel with full length tube magazine, fitted with rear leaf sights and stamped with the manufacturer's details WINCHESTER REPEATING-ARMS NEW HAVEN CT over KING'S-IMPROVEMENT-PATENTED-MARCH 29 1866, OCTOBER 16 1860, the brass action stamped with the serial no. 97043 for 1872 to the lower tang, saddle ring mounted on the left side, half stocked with steel and brass mounts, the butt plate with empty cleaning rod trap.
