24.25inch sighted octagonal barrel with full length tube magazine, fitted with ramp and ladder rear sights, stamped with the manufacturer's details WINCHESTER REPEATING-ARMS NEW HAVEN CT over KING'S-IMPROVEMENT-PATENTED-MARCH 29 1866, OCTOBER 16 1860, the brass action stamped with the serial no. 36507 for 1870 to the lower tang, full stocked with steel and brass mounts, brass fore-end, the butt plate with empty cleaning rod trap.
