SCANDINAVIA - A LATE 18TH OR EARLY 19TH CENTURY NAVAL BOARDING AXE

10cm across the crescent-shaped face, 23.2cm from the face to the tip of the elongated square-section tapering fluke, secured to a later wooden haft by a single rivet through the straps, the latter inserted in the French manner. It is suggested that this could possibly an Italian example.
