AN EARLY 17TH CENTURY GERMAN STRONG BOX OR SO CALLED "ARMADA" CHEST

or characteristic iron bound form with two wrought iron carrying handles to either end, false keyhole to the front with large pierced star escutcheon, two padlock clasps to the front, keyhole to the lid with pivoting cover, the interior with scroll pierced mechanism cover, hinged lid prop, complete with key. Mechanism and key work correctly. Cleaned and with later paint.
