79.5cm blade by Gieve, Matthews & Seagrove Ltd., Portsmouth, London & Devonport, etched with scrolls, the Royal arms and crowned fouled anchor, regulation hilt with lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its leather scabbard with brass mounts, the locket signed in a shield, complete with knot. Provenance: The Meldonfoot Collection, Phillips Scotland, 1st October 1991, Lot 157. The sword of Captain James Wolfe-Murray D.S.O.
