A 14TH CENTURY BROADSWORD OF OAKESHOTT TYPE XII - CIRCA 1300-1400

80.2cm fullered broadsword blade, inlaid with a copper alloy on either side in the fuller with a celestial diorama comprising a central star or sun motif flanked by two crescent moons, the crossguard of square section form, tapering into the centre of the guard, octagonal faceted pommel.
