77cm flattened diamond section rapier blade incised IN TOLEDO to either side in the short central fuller, the heavy silver hilt with upturned shell guard bearing two indistinct hallmarks to the underside, D-shaped knuckle guard, ovoid pommel, silver wire bound grip with turks' heads. The solid nature of this piece's construction may suggest a military background.
