75.5cm fullered blade incised RUTZ EN TOLEDO, fine quality hilt, the pierced shell guard chiselled with a rank of pikemen flanking the bust of Charles, and a line of cavalry flanking a rearing horse on the other, characteristic hilt, the quillon block, quillon terminals and D-shaped knuckle bow further decorated with cavalry, spirally fluted ovoid pommel, silver wire bound grip with turk's heads. It has been suggested this may be a work by the same hand that crafted the "Cromwell Sword", now residing in the Philadelphia Art Museum.
