AN 18TH CENTURY GERMAN BAROQUE HILTED SMALL SWORD

80.5cm flattened diamond section blade profusely decorated with the Holy Roman Electors, named as the Elector of Saxonia, Elector of Brandenburg, Elector of the Palantine, Elector of the Tyrol, Elector of Bavaria etc with traces of gilt highlights, characteristic gilt hilt with upturned shell guard decorated with warriors and cherubs amidst stands of arms, D-shaped knuckle guard and spherical pommel decorated to match, silver wire bound grip.
