A 16TH CENTURY GERMAN MUNICH TOWN GUARD MORION OR HELMET
the two-piece skull with tall roped comb, the sides embossed with a fler-de-lys, the base of the skull with eight of its ten fancy foliate brass rivets, sharply down turned brim drawn out to a peak at either end and with crimped turned brim, retains good traces of original blacked finish. Circa 1580. Small area of lamination and parting to the comb.
