29.75inch sighted browned damascus barrels engraved John Manton & Son, Dover Street, London, border and scroll engraved signed lock decorated with hunting scenes, half stocked with chequered fore-end, the silver mounts with maker's mark WJ to the butt plate, all border and scroll engraved and the butt plate and trigger guard decorated with hunting scenes, plated brass topped wooden ramrod. Serial no. 11471 appears on the trigger guard and underneath the barrels dating it to the 1840s.
