80.75cm fullered broad sword blade inlaid with an orb and cross form above the forte and with traces of latten inlay on one side, characteristic hilt with tapering crossguard with down turned terminals and drawn down to a shallow point in the centre, chamfered flattened wheel pommel, tapering flat tang. While the hilt is characteristic of swords categorised as Type XV by Oakeshott the blade is more characteristic of the type categorised as XVI.
