the curved silver flap cover with engraved scrolling foliage border, Birmingham silver hallmark for 1855 and J&Co for Joseph Jennens & Co., applied with the regimental device of the French Imperial Eagle surmounting the battle honour WATERLOO, leather covered wooden compartment to the reverse with hallmarked silver mounts, rubbed. Leather flap tab parted.
