27.5cm fullered blade with faceted back edge and good polish, etched with the owner's crest, a figure of a tribesman in a loin cloth wielding a spear and holding three further spears, maker's panel for HAMILTON CRICHTON & CO, EDINBURGH, regulation gilt brass hilt decorated with thistles and the pommel set with a faceted stone, carved basket weave wooden grip set with brass studs, in its gilt brass mounted leather wrapped wooden scabbard, the mounts decorated to match, the top with a figure of St Andrew and a saltire, matching bi-knife and fork, together with its companion sgian dubh, decorated to match and both contained in a Jeweller's storage box by Wilson & Sharp Ltd Edinburgh. The midmount of the dirk incised W to the reverse.
