bust length portrait of the Vice Admiral in military dress with medals, his arms folded across his chest, oil on canvas, 71 x 58cm oval, in giltwood and gesso frame, 99.5 x 85.5cm over all. Some restoration. Handwritten label verso naming his wife as Princess Irina Cantacuzene? and other somewhat illegible family information. Thomasset was Flag Officer on Devastation in 1882.
