AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY FRENCH GRENADIER'S SWORD

72.5cm curved blade struck with two stamps at the forte, regulation brass hilt with half-heart guard, D-shaped knuckle bow, spherical pommel, wooden grip retains some of its original wire binding. Circa 1735 - Louis XV - quillon lacking. See Aries No.2 1967 Figs. 1-4.
