70cm flattened diamond section double edge blade, regulation brass hilt with half-heart guard, D-shaped knuckle bow, inverted pear-shaped pommel, reeded brass grip. See Aries No. 1 1980 Figs 2a-2d. Of the type used in the War of the Spanish Succession, the example in Aries is that shown at the Musee de la Caisse d'Epergne de St-Flour.
