A CLEAN RASC OFFICER'S SWORD TO CAPTAIN CHARLES TRACHSEL GLADWELL-MOORE

86cm bright and sharp blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 53420 for 1914-17, etched with scrolling foliage, regimental title, GVR cypher and crowned Royal Arms, regulation three-bar steel hilt, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard. The attribution to Captain Gladwell-Moore is based on the vendor's purchase of this sword from the estate auction of Sir Patrick Moore.
