A VICTORIAN 1845 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD TO THE 25TH (KING'S OWN BORDERS) REGIMENT OF FOOT
82.5cm curved fullered blade etched with scrolling foliage, crowned VR cyphers and owner's name JAMES WATSON 25TH REGT, regulation brass gothic hilt incorporating a crowned VR cypher, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its engraved brass mounted leather scabbard, complete with knot. James Long Watson, Ensign 25th of Foot Regiment 31st December 1858, Lieutenant 20th April 1861. Repair to scabbard leather.
