A SCARCE ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS GRENADIER'S SWORD

61.5cm slightly curved fullered blade stamped with the running fox motif, regulation iron hilt of half basket form, the three vertical bars with S inserts united by a ring beneath the bun-shaped pommel, cast brass grip decorated with a crowned Prince of Wales feathers and the motto ICH DIEN, the whole surmounting the White Horse of Hannover, this repeated on the other side of the grip, circa 1750.
