AN IMPORTANT EARLY 19TH CENTURY 14-BORE FLINTLOCK FOWLING PIECE BY CONWAY OF MANCHESTER INCORPORATING AN ELIZABETHAN BARREL

57.25inch sighted multi-stage barrel with faceted midpoint and further faceted behind the flared muzzle, dated 1591 at the breech, border engraved stepped lock signed CONWAY, half stocked with chequered wrist, border engraved brass and steel mounts, shield-shaped white metal escutcheon engraved with the owner's initials J.H. brass topped wooden ramrod.
