32inch sighted barrels fitted with rear leaf sights to 300 yards, engraved LANCASTER'S PATENT SMOOTH BORED RIFLE, border engraved back action locks, half stocked with chequered wrist, border engraved steel mounts, the butt with patch box, the lid engraved FROM ROBT. BARNETT TO JNO McNAB AUGUST 1853, brass topped wooden ramrod. Good traces of colour to the locks and patch box cover.
