AN EXTREMELY RARE TRAFALGAR PERIOD FRENCH NAVAL BOARDING CUTLASS

71cm blade incised with an anchor to one side and GP over F to the other, regulation brass hilt with shaped sheet guard, the knuckle bow with barred spherical defence, ribbed grip, the underside of the hilt stamped GP over F. See Le Sabre D'ABORDAGE by Michel Petard, illustrated on the back cover and pages 68 to 71. Definitively the pattern used at Trafalgar, based on recorded captured examples taken at said battle.
