A LARGE WORLD WAR II THIRD REICH BANNER

captured at Antwerp in the Autumn of 1944 by the Senior Chaplain, Rev'd Prebendary L.J. Blashford-Snell, from a small fort on the outskirts of the city which the Padre and a few men invaded, the Padre being only armed with a tyre lever when he took the flag from a German in the Mess dining room. A more detailed account of the incident is included with this lot.
