A MID TO LATE 19TH CENTURY INDIAN SIKH TURBAN HELMET

three-piece stepped skull of characteristic form, the upper dome finely chiselled with scrolling foliage and vines within geometric borders and flanked with applied lobed rank insignia, the lower portion profusely decorated to match and all highlighted in gilt wash, the rim pierced for a camail. Areas of lamination and repaired lamination.
