A RARE IRON AGE LA TENE CULTURE SWORD AND SCABBARD
60cm blade permanently seized in its scabbard, characteristic hilt with four oval mounting slots for the grips, the multi-piece iron scabbard with embossed panels decorated with an X form in raised dots, a longitudinal form, a runic form symbol and a further domed form, the rear of the scabbard with belt hook. It is rare to find a complete and intact scabbard. Good excavated condition.
