4inch sighted octagonal barrel, chevron engraved at the muzzle and signed JENNENS & CO LONDON, border and scroll engraved bolted lock, French cock, rain-proof pan, roller frizzen, undersprung bayonet released by the sliding trigger guard, the latter with floral engraved decoration and Union shield, belt hook mounted on the left side, chequered bag-shaped wooden butt, the white metal plate with threaded integral ramrod. Retains good traces of original colour, small crack to right sideplate.
