A FINE AND RARE EARLY 19TH CENTURY OFFICER'S TARLETON OF THE ROYAL ARTILLERY

the brass trimmed leather skull with straw filled bearskin crest, the headband or turban secured by embossed lacquered and gilt chains, lacquered and gilt regimental title to the front and lacquered gilt crowned GR helmet plate to the right side, velvet backed lacquered gilt chinscales, correct red and white three-stage feather plume, pair of silver bullion tassels to the rear, stamped brass collection tag no. 114 also secured to the rear, the interior with scarlet silk lining. Some mothing to headband skin otherwise very good.
